How do you group your different food orders into courses or categories?

If there is a need to manage food orders in different courses or categories, this article will explain to you how to configure your tickets and POS.

With the BMI Leisure POS system you are able to sort your products by group on the tickets and the screen. This will improve visibility and allow departments to assign appropriate delivery for this group of items. 

Configure the print groups

The first Step will be to to create the print groups. You can do this by following these steps.

1. Open the Configurator
2. Unfold the menu items
3. Select "Product"
4. Select "Configuration"
5. Select "Print Groups"
6. This will open the print groups overview. 
7. Here you can add the needed print group

With the configuration of the system according to the interactive tutorial, your kitchen ticket will look like this. 

Configure the POS Bill overview.

You can also apply this organisation to bill overview if your prefer this. 

1. navigate to Menu -> System -> Settings -> System 
2. look for the setting " Group by print groups in POS"
3. Enable this setting

If executed correctly the POS bill overview will look like this. 

Show all products on the kitchen ticket

If needed you can also print ALL bill items on the kitchen tickets, even if they are not supposed to rout to this. 

The tickets will then prioritize the group which is set up to this printer device and place all other items under the others category. Like in the following example.

This result can be achieved by following these steps. 

1. Navigate to Menu -> Reports -> Configuration -> Reports
2. Navigate to the Kitchen ticket report
3. go to the settings tab. 
4. Enable the "Print all Lines" option.
